Fishing from the hoover!

My buddy Shawn and I decided to go out and try our luck fishing for early ice crappie and other panfish on Little Green in Chisago.  The lake was mostly open water with a few bays here and there with around 2" of ice on them.  Getting to and from the spot in the pics below meant crossing ice so thin that it would crack and several open water patches.   When the ice cracked, it wouldn't break up.  Instead, it jet out like spider webs from under the craft.  Oh what fun!!  On the way back to the landing, we created a rather large ice wake.  I wish I had a video of that!  Enjoy!
